Abakhan
Went to Abakhan this morning in Mostyn along the North Wales coast. Got lost trying to find it as I had never been before! It is a large fabrics and crafts centre and I really enjoyed looking around it. Brought some sock and double knit wool and buttons for projects I am working on. Can't wait to see how the coloured sock yarn knits up!
New addition to shop
The above is the latest addition to my Etsy shop. It's a hand knitted mobile phone sock for a NokiaN97 or iphone. It measures 14cm by 7cm so would probably fit other mobile phones too.
Head over to the shop to see my other mobile phone socks and see what other handmade items are available on the Etsy website

Tagged!
I've been tagged! EssHaych tagged me on her brilliant crochet blog the other day, so here goes...
Now for me to tag some people!
Questions:
1. What inspires you?
2. What are your top 3 favourite TV programmes of all time?
3. What's your dream?
4. What other skills would you like to learn?
5. What are you most proud of?

7. What's you guilty pleasure?
8. What are the top three books you'd bring to a desert island?
1. Where did you grow up? Did you like it there?
I grew up in Suffolk, East Anglia, in a town called Mildenhall. I did like it there and most of my family remain in that area but now I live in Conwy, North Wales. You couldn't get two places more different really with Suffolk being quite flat and North Wales very mountainous and near the sea!
2. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
2. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would love to travel to the Galápagos Islands and see the unique wildlife there. I have always had an interest in biology and nature.
3. What was the first thing you crocheted?
This little pig for my Mum!
4. What are your top 3 favourite TV programmes of all time?
Ah that's a difficult question! I loved Top of the Pops, and Absolutely Fabulous, and Will & Grace. I have enjoyed more recently Medium, Nurse Jackie and Heroes!
5. Were you a good student at school?
Of course! I think I was an excellent student at school! I used to enjoy learning and still do. I remember doing my home work almost as soon as it was given - I think I was a bit of a swot!
6. What are you most proud of?
I am proud of my family and what I have achieved in my work and I am proud of all my knitted and crocheted creations!
7. What skill would you like that you haven't got already?
7. What skill would you like that you haven't got already?
I used to play the piano but haven't done for many years now and would love to take that up again.
8. Would you ever give blood?

Llandudno Prom
Had to take my car to have a puncture repaired this morning at Kwik Fit. Had to wait about an hour but this was made easy by having Llandudno Prom and the sea within a minutes walk!

Snowdon Mountain Railway
Just had dinner at Tom's Mums house which is at the foot of Snowdon in Llanberis, North Wales. Lots of trains going past full of people despite the misty grey weather!

Painted Lady
I had a butterfly farm from my brother for a present. I had it for ages before getting around to sending off for the caterpillars.
They arrived in a little pot and grew dramatically over the next two weeks into huge caterpillars feeding off the special food at the bottom of the pot.
Once they became chrysalids I moved them to the pop up mesh container where over the following week or so not a lot happened until one morning they broke out the chrysalids as butterflies one by one.
Two days later I let them out into the garden.
The whole process was very exciting and amazing to watch. It was like having a pet for a few weeks and a very proud moment letting them out into the wild for the rest of their lives - even though I understand they don't actually live that long :-(
