Llys Tryfan

Well, this was where I spent many a happy moment in the first two years of University life in Bangor - and it has been knocked down! Llys Tryfan was a halls of residence which was practically falling down when I lived there from 1990 to 1992 but I am gutted to see that it has been knocked down and a new build has been started in it's place!

I lived in Llys Tryfan on my first year at Bangor from September 2005 to June 2006. I had some memorable times there and met some great people, but hated the building! It was so run down! On top of that, because of a burst pipe we had no hot water for 3 weeks in November and December, which was a nightmare and a really bad time of the year for it to happen. Most of my friends lived in "Holywood" up the hill - the brand new buildings that were a million times nicer, and it made me rather depressed. I am looking forward to seeing the new building that has replaced Llys Tryfan and hope it is more equal to all the other Ffridd Site halls!
